People who know Stuart know that he loves life. Whether it is at golf, watching a child on the athletic field or in a play, or seeing past clients enjoying success, it is fun to enjoy life to its fullest and to succeed along the way. Most of us also know it is not our brilliance, good looks, or charming ways that give us that success. We actually know it is the team we worked with to accomplish something grand that brought the success.

Starting in 1987, Stuart co-founded, with his partners, and subsequently built up Response Marketing Group (RMG) to be the second largest privately held direct response marketing company in the U.S. with $43 million in revenue, 300 employees, and offices in five countries. In 1998, Stuart and his partner sold Response Marketing Group to Snyder Communications (the same Dan Snyder who is the current owner of the Washington Redskins football team), becoming part of BrannWorldwide, the largest marketing firm in the world. One year after selling RMG to Snyder Communications, BrannWorldwide sold to the French company Havas. It was at this juncture that Stuart decided to commit his time to the management of personal investments in private companies and philanthropic work.

In the Fall of 2006, Stuart decided to come out of retirement to get RMG going again. With new excitement, the “putting back the band” of top former RMG staff is probably the most energizing joy of this new company start-up. The goal is to again become the great marketing company RMG once was.

Stuart loves marketing and sales and has always been the spark behind company growth and innovation. His 30+ years of experience, his past and current role as CEO of RMG, his ownership in a number of companies, and his involvement on many boards gives him a perspective few have.

Stuart was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, but like many young people, lived in a number of places from age 18 to 25. Stuart has lived in Blacksburg Virginia, Chicago Illinois, Grand Junction Colorado, Albany Georgia, Charlotte North Carolina, and Miami Florida. You might think he couldn't hold down a job, but all the moves were upward career changes. Stuart has two sons. His older son, Stuart IV, is working for Park Group as a writer/director. His younger son, Stephen, attends The University of Virginia. Stuart loves golf and has had the joy of playing many of the great courses in America.
